Marion Skeete, President

Marion is pursuing what has already pursued her!  With a Master of Divinity and a concentration in Cross-cultural studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, where she was elected and served as All Seminary student body president from 2000-2001, earning her a leadership award, Marion is passionate about developing multicultural leaders and disciples. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Lee University, TN. Marion is an ordained minister with Evangelical Church Alliance, and has been involved in pastoral and missions ministry for over 20 years, having led missions teams, humanitarian efforts, and relief and development work in the name of Christ. Her most recent pastoral assignment was at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, CA, where she served throughout her time as Pastor of Equipping Ministries, Small Groups Ministries, Prayer Ministries, and Women’s Ministries.

Marion received Mediation and Conflict Resolution training from the Los Angeles County Bar Association and a Certificate in Workplace Conflict Resolution from the Western Justice Center in Pasadena and has been involved in global and national peacemaking, community development, empowerment of women and children, and cross-cultural community bridge building. She is also a certified Life Coach, specializing in training and motivating leaders and potential leaders to embrace and live out their calling as change agents in this world. With the commitment to see the transformation of local communities, Marion has mentored youth and adults and initiated and led citywide multi-denominational prayer and spiritual renewal gatherings.

Marion has worked as a caption writer for PBS and hosted and produced a various shows and documentaries for Boston’s BNN-TV. She is a speaker and published writer on a wide variety of issues of faith, justice, and contemporary culture, having served on panels and think tanks. Her involvement with Theological and Cultural Thinkers (TACT), a think tank on spiritual formation spearheaded by Dallas Willard has resulted in her writing one of her personal stories in The Kingdom Life: A Practical Theology of Discipleship and Spiritual Formation, Dallas Willard and others, NavPress, 2010.  Marion is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary, but is much more interested in her lifelong goal of pursuing GOD!
